Great Smokey Mountains National Park
The Smokey Mountains are part of the Blue Ridge Mountain Range. Here you will find some of the highest elevations in the Eastern USA. Some of the top peaks are Clingmans Dome, Mount Guyot, and Mount Le Conte.
You will also find part of the popular Appalachian Trail that goes from Georgia to Maine. The park has tons of hikes, waterfalls, and spruce-fir trees as far as the eyes can see. Check out Cades Cove while you are there.
Falls Creek Falls State Park
This 26,000-acre state park is renowned for its 256 foot falls by the same name plus countless other unique nature and waterfalls.
Cumberland Caverns
This cave is one of the longest in the world and is considered a natural national landmark. They give great tours of the caverns but book early during peak season. If you are lucky, you may be able to enjoy a music event in the caverns on the weekends.
Burgess Falls State Park
This one-of-a-kind park surrounds a deep gorge where the water drops dramatically and results in an amazing 136-foot cataract waterfall. The hiking trails are well maintained as well.
Cummins Falls State Park
This 282-acre state park features another amazing waterfall created by the Blackburn Fork State Scenic River. The 75-foot waterfall is beautiful and flows into a wonderful swimming hole at the bottom.
Ruby Falls
Ruby Falls is a unique cascading underground waterfall in Chattanooga. The water drops a total of 145 feet and they usually have a nice light show on the falls going to music.

The property had the basic amenities we needed to enjoy our time on the water and a great view from the top deck. The nearby marina has a great breakfast and great service. Clinch River Brewery is a short drive and highly recommended.

West Glam Frontier Glamping Tipi and Covered Wagon

Experience sleeping in a Tipi or Covered Wagon for a night or two. At West Glam Frontier you can choose between two glamping options. An 18 foot Great Plains Tipi with 3 full-sized mattresses and an outdoor firepit or Western Wagon with a king-sized bed, table, and coffee pot. The Tipi has no electricity so bring a flashlight. The covered wagon does have electricity with plugins and USB ports.
Both accommodations provided access to a communal area with picnic tables, tv, cable, microwave, grill, and WIFI. Also, there are two bathhouses with 2 sinks, 2 toilets, and 3 showers each. If you own a horse or two, you can bring them, the property also has a 67 stall barn with washing stations and a round pen. You must book a stall ahead of time though.
